This department’s mission is to lay the foundations for an educated eye with knowledge of past and present cultural developments, based on the learning of art history.
PLASTIC ARTS
Their scope ranges from drawing to sculpture, including techniques such as painting, collage, mixed techniques, pottery and modelling, all with the aim of developing creative thinking through expression and representation and leading students to the discovery of sense and sensitivity.
COURSES
The Visual Arts Department offers a range of weekly courses and workshops for children, teenagers and adults, from beginners to advanced.
These courses can be taken as part of the main programme of study or, for those with a background in music or theatre, as a complementary option, enriching the development of the eye towards an overall vision.
Structure of weekly lessons
Awakening: from 3 years old – 30 minutes
Initiation: 4 to 5 years old – 45 minutes
Preparatory: 6 to 8 years old – 70 minutes
Elementary: from 9 years old – 120 minutes
Medium: from 12 years old – 120 minutes
Secondary: from 15 years old – 150 minutes
Atelier : libre – 90 minutes
Adult classes – 120 minutes
